About Statement:

"Japanese Student Association (JSA) at University of California, Irvine (UCI) is a student organization that was founded in 2006. We gather people not only who are Japanese but also those who share common interest and the learning desire of the culture. When JSA was first established, it was an informal gathering of students at Starbucks. Students would just grab some coffee on campus, then sit down and talk. Later on, due to the growing membership, JSA finally was able to hold their weekly meeting in a classroom."
